Writer: Jeffery ForneyJeffery Forney

The first church built in Costa Rica was destroyed by earthquake and flood so many times, they moved the whole town.

Since I have not seen the ruins of this church, I will definitely have to plan another trip with Jeff. He is a tour guide extraordinaire!! Pura Vida!

Oh my goddess I was on a 2 week tour of Costa Rica with Jeff in 2016, it was the most fun I’d ever had on a trip! His energy and knowledge of the country kept us eager to spend each day with him. He speaks like a native and never tires when it comes to explaining the landscapes and local customs. We did things and tried adventures that we would have never attemped without his guidance. Even rainy days were fun! When you travel with Jeff you get to do what you want to do, and if you don’t know what you want to do he has tons of options!

His affection for Costa Rica makes you wish you…

A retired Spanish teacher from the United States, I now teach Spanish online and take people on tours of Costa Rica. Having studied at the Universidad de Costa Rica and lived with a host family, I gained a lot of knowledge about the culture, language and the sites to see.  I want to share that experience (see resume) with people who may want to travel, but who don't know how to begin. It's like traveling with a local who speaks English and Spanish!  You don't have to speak Spanish to travel with me, but it can enhance your experience. If you don't know any when we start, you will when we're done. Careful though; I might wear you out with fun!
